History

The school was started in 1988. It was started by the school pioneer Mr.Simon Gitu Njau helped by the committee members and other members of the public.

The pioneer class consisted of 10 girls. Now we have 282 pupils, 13 teachers and 5 sub-ordinate staff.

Initially, the school was a girls’ boarding school. In the year 2003, it opened a chance for boys’ both day and boarding.

Course Taken

The school follows the 8-4-4 system of education.

  • Best per Subject
  • Best Improved
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions per class
  • Certificates in all levels of zonal, division, district and provincials in Drama.
  • Decency/Cleanliness

Achievements

  1. Position 3 in consecutive years in public boarding primary school KCPE from 2004-2008.
  2. Change from girls boarding to day and boarding in 2001.
  3. Change from girls boarding only to mixed day and boarding in 2005.
  4. Able to set up a storey building for classrooms and administration block.
  5. 1st in District levels and 3rd in Provincial in Drama titled "No Entertainment" by M. Makara patroned by the Head Teacher Miss. Kuria.
  6. A pupil Muchiri representing the school in Murang'a region soccer team.
  7. An official Mr. Muthaka to officiate volleyball matches in the Murang'a region.
